2023 Annual General Meeting
This year seems to have gone by in a flash, but upon reflection, we’re proud to recall everything that’s happened this year. Our AGM will be taking place soon, so here are a few reminders of how it works.
When is our AGM?
The Annual General Meeting, or AGM, is about you, the owners of Craigleith Shores. This year our AGM will be taking place on Saturday, November 4th, from 1PM to 3PM. There will be a meet & greet and walkaround starting at 11AM. You’ll have a chance to meet your Board and fellow neighbours in advance of the formal meeting itself.
What happens at an AGM? (it’s my first time)
If this is your first time at an AGM, it’s kind of like a big family reunion that happens once a year - but instead of relatives, it's for all the condo owners in our community.
It's a chance for everyone to come together, catch up on what's been happening, and talk about plans for the future.
At these meetings, you'll get to hear about how your condo fees have been spent over the past year, and the board will share any major decisions they've made. It's kind of like a report card, showing the health and progress of your condominium corporation.
What are the rules?
Much of the meeting is standardized and formal. Here are some reminders and guidelines to keep in mind:
before making comments, you must state your name and unit number, and it will be entered into formal AGM meeting minutes
there will be opening remarks, a financial audit report, and other formal statements made during which there is no open dialogue
there will be a time for open feedback for all owners, and again you must state your name and unit number prior to making comment, and be respectful of everyone’s time, understanding that the open period is not a time to solve problems but to ask questions, get information, and speak your opinion
RSVP & Survey - Your Voice Counts
You're not only there to listen. You also get to have your say. You can ask questions, voice your opinions, and even vote on important matters. After all, you're not just a resident, you're an owner, and your voice matters. And to that point, your Board has created an RSVP + Survey to ensure that everyone has a chance to have their feedback heard, whether or not you’re able to attend this year.

There is an Opening on your Board of Directors
If you're really passionate about making our condominium corporation the best it can be, you can even run for a position on the board. There is one position available, and it’s helpful to maintain a full Board of Directors roster of 5.

The AGM is your chance to get involved, make a difference, and connect with your neighbours. It’s a key part of keeping our community thriving.
